How to Use PWM Dimmer for LED Strip Light
2022-02-15 10:47:20
At present, PWM dimming is one of the more popular dimming technologies used in LED dimming products. PWM is an analog control method that modulates the bias of the base of the transistor or the gate of the MOS tube according to the change of the corresponding load to achieve the change of transistor or MOS tube conduction time, so as to achieve the change of constant voltage switching power output. It is characterized by simple structure and easy control. This approach enables the output voltage of the power supply to remain constant as operating conditions change, and is a very effective technique for controlling analog circuits using digital signals from microprocessors. They are used in many fields ranging from measurement and communication to power control and conversion.

The advantages of PWM dimming

1.No chromatic aberration because the LED always operates between full-amplitude current and 0
2.Dimming is precise because the waveform in the pulse can be fully controlled to a high degree of accuracy, so it is easy to achieve an accuracy of one ten thousandth.
3.It can be combined with digital control technology for control. Because any digital can be easily converted into a PWM signal.
4.Flicker will not occur even if the light is dimmed over a wide range. Because it does not change the operating conditions of the constant current source (boost ratio or buck ratio), it is much less likely that problems such as overheating will occur.

How to use PWM dimmer for LED strip light?
To quickly use the PWM dimmer of LED strip, you need to prepare LED strip, LED power supply, PWM dimmer and remote control. If the materials are ready, you can follow these steps.
1.First, connect the black wire (Neutral wire) of the strip to the negative pole of the PWM dimmer output, and the red wire (Live wire) to the positive pole of the dimmer output.
2.Next, connect the positive pole of the LED power supply output to the positive pole of the PWM dimmer input, and the negative pole of the LED power supply output to the negative pole of the dimmer input.
3.Then connect the input of the LED power supply to 220V voltage
4.Finally, after the lines all are connected, the switch button on the remote control can be turned on
5.You can adjust the brightness of the light on the remote control according to your needs.
