What is the difference between led constant voltage power supply and constant current power supply?
1. Under the allowable load condition of the constant voltage source power supply, the output voltage is constant and will not change due to the load change. It is usually applied to small power LED modules and small power LED strips. The constant voltage source is the regulated power supply that we often say, and it can keep the voltage unchanged under the condition that the load (output current) changes.
2. The constant current source power supply is constant under the allowable load condition.
It does not change with load changes. It is usually applied to high-power LED products. LED high-current source power is also used in high-end low-power LED products. If you want to lengthen the life of LED products, the choice of LED power supply is very important, and constant current source power supply is the best choice for LED. The constant current source can adjust its output voltage accordingly when the load changes, so that the output current remains unchanged. The switching power supplies we see are basically all constant voltage sources. The switching power supply of the constant current source is actually based on the constant voltage source, and the internal output circuit is added with a sampling resistor. The circuit ensures that the voltage drop across the sampling resistor does not change to achieve constant current output.
