How to do a good job for plug-in operation of LED power supply
2021-12-20 16:09:13
In the last article, we talked about the importance of Incoming Quality Control of various components. Now let’s take you through the next process of producing LED power supply. How to do a good job for plug-in operation of LED power supply of LED strip light? What details do we need to pay attention to?

How to correctly plug diode in PCB?
1.After training, operators must wear wrist strap to protect diode from static electricity.

2.The operators should check whether the diode matches BOM list and sample or not, and check if the component body is intact. If there is no problem, then start this process.

3.plugging the diode into the correct position of the PCB screen print as required

▲ Attention:Diode must not be plugged in the opposite direction and the wrong hole(If polarity of diode is plugged in the wrong direction, the diode will be broken. The LED lighting will not light up during the test). Components must be inserted squarely and upright.

4.After inserting the diode, the operator should check it. If there is no problem, then move to next process.

How to correctly plug magnetic inductance, metal oxide semiconductor, slow-melt fuse in PCB?
1.operators must wear wrist strap to protect components from static electricity.

2.The operators should check whether the magnetic inductance, metal oxide semiconductor, slow-melt fuse match BOM list and samples or not, and check if the component body is intact. If there is no problem, then start this process.

3.plugging the magnetic inductance, metal oxide semiconductor, slow-melt fuse into the correct position of the PCB screen print as required.

▲ Attention: Components must be plugged in the right hole, their polarity must be inserted correctly.

4.After plugging these components , the operator should check them. If there are no problem, then move to next process.

How to correctly plug electrolytic capacitor

How to correctly plug electrolytic capacitor, safety capacitor, transformer in PCB?
1.Operators must wear wrist strap to protect components from static electricity.

2.The operators should check whether electrolytic capacitor, safety capacitor, transformer match BOM list and samples or not, and check if the component body is intact. If there is no problem, then start this process.

3.plugging the electrolytic capacitor, safety capacitor, transformer into the correct position of the PCB screen print as required.

▲ Attention: Components must be plugged in the right hole. Polarity of electrolytic capacitor must be inserted correctly. If not, it will cause the LED power supply to damage directly after power is applied.

4.After plugging these components , the operator should check them. If there are no problem, then move to next process.

How to ensure no missing, dropped, reversed, wrong, crooked or high parts?
1.Operators must wear wrist strap to protect components from static electricity.
2.The inspector needs to be clear about the position of all components in PCB, and check again if have missing, dropped, reversed, wrong, crooked or high parts.
3.Checking this process, then move to next process.

Have you noticed that there is a wrist strap in the plug-in operation at any time? What is the significance of the wrist strap? I'm sure you're no stranger to static electricity in your life. What effect does static electricity have on plug-in operation of constant Voltage power supply? Let’s learn more about it.

What damage does static electricity do to electronic components?
1.Static electricity on electronic components attracts dust and reduces the insulation resistance of components (It will shorten the life of electronic components)

2.Static electricity can cause discharge which is complete damage to components.

3.The amplitude of the electromagnetic field generated by electrostatic discharge is very large (up to several hundred volts/meter) and the spectrum is extremely wide (from several tens to several gigabits), causing interference and even damage to electronic components (electromagnetic interference).

4.The electric field generated by electrostatic discharge or the heat emitted by the current can damage components (potential damage). If components are completely damaged, they will be detected and eliminated during production and quality control, resulting in less costly losses. If the components are only slightly damaged, they are not easily detectable by normal testing,  Or the components may be damaged by friction or collision with other objects with static electricity during transport, so the damage to the components can only be detected when they are in use.Not only is it not easy to inspect, but its cost is also expensive.

These are notes for the plug-in operation of main components of LED power supply. A complete LED driver has many components, which are not all described here. Control every procedure well, make each product well.
