How to Install LED Power Supply

1.The input voltage of the power supply must be within the working input voltage range specified by the power supply, the input voltage is too high or too low will cause the power supply can not work properly, the application of a multimeter to check the voltage of the power grid and the power supply work input voltage is consistent.
2.Led power supply and load (load refers to the power supply with LED modules, light bars, lamps, etc.) should be reasonably matched, overload or very light load will lead to the power supply can not work properly.
led power supply with load power in the rated output power between 50% ~ 90%, led power supply in the best working condition, 100% load will accelerate led power aging, significantly shorten the life of the led power supply. When using a multimeter (or clamp current meter) to measure the actual working voltage and current of the load, calculate the actual working power to configure a suitable led power supply.
3.It is necessary to distinguish the input and output of led power supply before use. The input of L is connected to the live wire and N is connected to the neutral wire in the indoor led power supply. On the input side of the waterproof led power supply, the brown wire is the live wire, the blue wire is the neutral wire and the yellow-green wire is the earth wire. Different coloured wires must be correctly connected to the corresponding holes, otherwise it will cause the led power supply to leak and burn the led power supply.
The output is connected to the load, remember not to connect the opposite; led power output is divided into "+" pole, "-" pole (waterproof power output line red is "+" pole, black is the "-" pole), respectively connected to the "+" pole and "-" pole of the load. If the "+" and "-" poles of the power supply and the load are reversed, the load will not light up, At this moment, we must disconnect the input power of the led power supply first, the output of the "+" pole, "-" pole and the load of the "+" pole, "-" pole correctly connected, reconnect the power, the load can be lit normally.
For high-power power supply, there are generally two or more groups of "+" "-" outputs, and when the user connects the load, the load power is distributed equally to each group of output "+" "-" . If the light can only be connected to one group of "+" "-" poles, all "+" poles of the led power supply can be connected together , and all "-" poles are connected together in parallel. Thus a group of "+" and "-" poles can be used.
4.How to connect led strip lights to power supply?First connect the output of the led power supply to the strip light, and then connect the input of the power supply to 220V AC. After installation, please check and proofread again whether the connections on the terminals are correct, whether the insulation of the wire joints is handled well, and whether the input and output, positive and negative poles are connected correctly. When wiring, please remember that the input and output of the led driver must not be reversed, otherwise the led power supply will be burnt and there will be a safety hazard, which is not covered by the warranty.
5.The output of the led drive power supply has the characteristics of low voltage and high current, the connection line between the power supply and the load is too long and too thin, all of which will cause a very large voltage drop in the line, and the load will not work properly (such as LED lights flickering, inconsistent brightness), which will also lead to heat in the line, fire and other safety hazards. Therefore, the connection cable between the led power supply and led light is as short as possible. If the length of the connection cable is less than 1 metre, for every 8A (100W for 12V, 200W for 24V) , we recommend that the customer uses a 1 square pure copper connection cable; if the length of the connection cable is 1 to 2 metres, for every 8A (100W for 12V, 200W for 24V) we recommend that the customer uses a 2.5 square pure copper connection cable. For cable lengths above 2 metres and for every 8A (100W for 12V, 200W for 24V), we recommend that the customer uses a 4 squared or more pure copper connection cable.
6.The output current of the power supply is usually relatively high. The connection part between the output line of the waterproof power supply and the strip light should be firmly connected and well insulated with electrical tape. The screws should be tightened after wiring the output of the indoor power supply to maintain good contact.
7.High temperature is the enemy of power supply life. Firstly, the led power supply should be used within the specified ambient temperature (-20℃-50℃). Secondly, the power supply should be placed in a flowing air environment, with as much space for heat dissipation as possible. If the led power supply is installed in the light box, the back or side of the light box should open some heat dissipation holes as far as possible to maintain air circulation. Waterproof led power supply or indoor led power supply can also be installed close to the metal frame of the light box, using the metal frame to heat dissipation. If the heat dissipation environment around the led power supply is not good, it is recommended to choose 80% of the power supply's indicated power to reduce the heat of the power supply and extend its service life. Do not install the led power supply and the strip light next to each other to avoid mutual thermal interference. Do not place the led power supply inside the distribution box for use. Because there is less space in the distribution box and the air does not flow, the led power supply can be easily damaged.
8.The waterproof led power supply has a glued and sealed construction and can be used outdoors or indoors, but it is not suitable for long-term immersion in water or wet mud.
9.When using more than one led power supply together, keep a distance of 5cm or more between each other. Because the power supplies are not designed to be used in parallel, the output voltage of each power supply cannot be identical and the one with the higher voltage will suffer most or all of the consumption, resulting in rapid damage to the signal.
10.The induction voltage is caused by the principle of the led power supply, not leakage, and is a normal phenomenon. If the air is humid or your hands are sweaty, you may feel a slight numbing sensation when you touch the shell. In order not to bring unnecessary worries to the user, it is recommended to connect the earth wire when using, so that the induced voltage will disappear.
11.The led power supply must not be installed in close proximity to flammable and explosive atmospheres.
12.When the led lamp is a capacitive load (e.g. the LED lamp board is equipped with a capacitor) or a motor, this may cause the power supply to fail to start smoothly. This is because the current required by these led lamps at the moment of switching on is much greater than the current required for normal operation as indicated, and even exceeds the maximum output power of the led power supply, causing the led power supply to fail to start normally. So when using this type of led light, the power of led power supply should be more than 1.4 times the power indicated for this type of light
13.In accordance with safety regulations, our power supplies are protected against abnormal conditions such as overload, over temperature, overload and short circuit. In the event of these conditions, the power supply will stop working and be in a protected state. After eliminating the abnormal state, stop inputting AC 220V for 2 minutes and then connect AC 220V, the led power supply can resume normal operation.
14.For all led power supplies, when there is a sudden change in load, there will be a certain response time, during this sudden change, the output voltage of led power supply will have a short overshoot process in the instantaneous time, and then return to the normal output state, this is the dynamic response.
